Before you meet in person
- Video chat or talk on the phone first if something feels off in text.
- Meet in a public place for the first date — a coffee shop, restaurant, or busy area works well.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be back.
- Drive yourself or arrange your own transportation to and from the date.
- Keep your phone charged and easy to reach.
- Never send money, gift cards, crypto, or financial account details to someone you met on the platform — that's always a scam.
Red flags to watch for
- Asking for money, gift cards, or financial help — especially early on.
- Refusing to video chat or talk on the phone before meeting.
- Pressuring you to move off the platform immediately or to meet somewhere private right away.
- Photos that look inconsistent, or a story that keeps changing.
- Pushing past a boundary after you've said no.
Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, end the conversation and report the account.
Verification, honestly
All accounts confirm they're 18+ and verify their email address before unlocking full features. A "Verified" badge reflects email verification, not government ID or in-person identity checks — use the same judgment you would with anyone you meet online.
